The "Sending Ear"

Group project with Walid Tawil and Henry Franjieh at the occasion of the 9th "Sommet de la francophonie" (Meeting of French-speaking countries).

The project symbolizes the voice breaking through the silence, as the French language allows different cultures to communicate with each other. In complement to this big sculpture, we installed a big wired safety glass board, over which are pinned a grid of small spider-like "bugs", containing each a small microphone. These bugs produce a loud buzzing noise, that symbolizes the lack of communication between people.
